Foundry Campbell River offers free, confidential wellness support for young people ages 12-24 and their families. Operated by The John Howard Society of North Island, we bring multiple health and social services together under one roof to make it easier to find the right path forward. Whether you are facing stress, looking for work, or navigating life’s big changes, we’re here to help.

Foundry Campbell River services are open to:

Young people ages 12 to 24.
Families and/or caregivers of youth aged 12 to 24.

No appointment needed. Come in during drop-in hours and our team will be ready to welcome you.

Talk to the Front Desk

Let us know what kind of support you’re looking for. Our team will connect you with the right services, whether that’s counselling, primary care, or another service we offer.

Access More Services

Some specialized services are available by referral after attending drop-in. Our team will guide you to the services that meet your needs.

Mental Health Counselling

For youth (ages 12 to 24) needing support for stress, mood, or mental health.

Drop-in counselling.

Guidance through difficult times.

Connection to specialized services if needed.

Drop-in:

Monday: 9:00 am – 11:00 am & 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Tuesday & Thursday: 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Friday: 9:00 am – 11:00 am

Substance Use Counselling

For youth wanting confidential support to navigate substance use.

One-to-one and group support.

Harm reduction strategies and safety planning.

Connection to recovery services.

By appointment only:

Primary Health Care

See a nurse practitioner for physical health concerns, illness, prescriptions, or sexual health. For those who are not connected to a primary care provider.

General medical checkups.

Sexual Health Clinic

For youth ages 12-24 seeking free and confidential sexual health care.

Birth Control.

STI testing.

Pregnancy tests.

Drop-in only:

Thursdays: 1:30 pm – 4:00 pm

Psychiatry

For youth needing specialized mental health assessment and treatment.

Mental health assessment and diagnosis.

Medication management.

Treatment plans.

By internal referral only:

Please drop-in or call during centre hours to speak with a staff member about the referral process.

Peer Support

For youth and families seeking connection with someone who has lived experience.

Connection with peers who understand.

Judgment-free space to share stories.

Guidance navigating health and social services.

Drop-in only:

Drop in Tuesday – Friday afternoons to connect with our Peer Support team.

Foundry Work & Education

For youth ages 15-24 wanting help with job search or education.

Comprehensive employment support.

Interview skills.
