In Campbell River, these generous businesses will be collecting donations:

  • Fratelli Pizzeria at 1140 Shoppers Row from November 29-December 6. On December 3 all proceeds from pizza slices sold go to KidStart.
  • Wise & Wonderful Toys in the Tyee Plaza from November 29-December 3
  • Dogwood Pet Mart at 223 Dogwood St B from December 1-December 7
  • Meraki at 801 Island Hwy on December 3

In Courtenay, these generous businesses will be collecting donations:

  • Trail Bicycles at 1170 Cliffe Avenue will match customer donations up to $1,000. That means if you donate $5, they will donate $5. If you donate $10, they will donate $10, etc. That is a potential $2,000 donation to support local children and youth! Trail Bicycles will be matching donations from November 26-December 6.
  • COBS Bread in the Driftwood Mall will donate $1 to KidStart for every 6-pack of scones (mixed variety) or tarts (pumpkin or butter) purchased on Giving Tuesday, and an additional 5% of all purchases if customers mention KidStart. They will be collecting donations from November 26-December 10.
  • Parker’s Appliances at 700 29th Street will also collect donations from November 26-December 10.

Donations can also be made online at www.jhsni.bc.ca, by e-transfer to John Howard’s Director of Finance , or in person at The John Howard Society of North Island: 140 10th Avenue in Campbell River or 575 10th Street in Courtenay. Charitable tax receipts will be available for online donations and cheques, e-transfers, or cash donations (minimum $20) made to The John Howard Society of North Island.
