Youth Transitional Housing
THE STATION
The Station is a youth housing facility in Courtenay, owned and managed by The John Howard Society of North Island. The program provides furnished suites for young people ages 16-21, an office for the program staff, as well as a caretaker on site. It’s close to shopping, recreational centres, bus stops, and major services. Youth in the program have been homeless, at risk of homelessness, or are transitioning from MCFD care to living on their own. The youth collaborate with the supported independent living coordinator to develop goals and learn how to live independently.
