How can the program help you?

The Compass program has two full time teachers who are available to support youth in their individualized education plans. Youth have the opportunity to earn up to 25 credits towards their schooling while in the program. Our teachers will also work with students to identify and complete any specialized certificates or training they wish to receive such as first aid, food safe, and learners licence.

Youth attending the program will have access to individual and group counselling. Each youth is assigned a primary counsellor who will act as their case manager while in program. Youth also have the opportunity to meet regularly with our clinical counsellor. Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services may be available to youth in the program upon referral from their supervising youth probation officer.

If you have community work service hours to complete, you will be offered several options for completing them while in program.

Compass is designed to offer youth individualized programming that reflects their strengths, interests, and needs. Youth play an active role in developing their goals and identifying which life areas they would like support with, such as: substance use, independent living skills, emotional health, employment, healthy relationships, communication skills, school, and wellness.

Don't be shy, we want to hear from you!
